The August 2026 exam was a pilot exam

The August exam being a pilot exam means it was the first time the actual exam questions were used in a real exam situation, at large scale and with the intended target group.

Piloting is a necessary and established part of developing a new, large-scale exam. Questions are selected and tested in several stages — including smaller pilot rounds — to ensure the right level of difficulty, quality, and legal certainty in the assessment.

During the pilot sitting, generous time was allowed, both for the exam as a whole and for individual questions.
