Prepare: UHR's study material

UHR, together with Skolverket and on assignment from the government, has produced the book Sverige i fokus (Sweden in Focus) about basic knowledge of Swedish society. It is available as a PDF to print and as audio files (MP3), one chapter at a time. The book and audio are at uhr.se/medborgarskapsprovet/utbildningsmaterial.

The book has 14 chapters: Introduction, The country of Sweden, Sweden's democratic system, How Sweden is governed, Political elections and parties, Law and rights, The role of the media, Human rights, Labour market and personal finances, The welfare society, Sweden's modern history, Sweden and the world, A secular state and a multi-religious country, and Traditions and holidays.

UHR has corrected a few errors in the book, for example that the UN was founded in 1945 and that there are about 1,400 preserved churches and church ruins of medieval origin. UHR states that the corrections do not affect exam results for those who studied the earlier version.

UHR warns that practice exams made by other people or companies are not checked by UHR or any other authority. Medborgarvägen is an independent study aid and is not affiliated with UHR.
